    Credits needed to tune Audi

    Just a quick question:

I have a 2011 Corvette that I presently use HP Tuners to tweek my tune ... This car requires 2 credits

A friend of mine has a supercharged Audi and was thinking about buying credits to be able to use my mpvi2 to tune his Audi ... until he found out it takes 6 credits in order to use the mpvi2 on his Audi !

Buying 6 credits gets pretty pricey for a young college student ... Why would my Corvette only require 2 credits, but his Audi take 6 credits?

Pretty much comes down to R&D time and how complex the computers are to get into.

Those older GM computers are pretty simple, the computer in your 2011 is the same basic computer that come out in 2006 for the most part if that tells you anything. There is a ton more going on in a newer Audi and the Germans tend to over complicate things.

Your friend will just have to pick up a few extra shifts at work, do some pan-handling or start working the corner to pay for it.

2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

2019 ZR1 Corvette takes 10 credits if that makes you feel any better.

Most tunes for that generation Audi cost $900-1200 as it is. So $300 on 6 credits seems like a bargain.
