OS 12613246
Drives just perfect, great
We changed 3.73 to 3.42, of course, the dynamics disappeared completely.
This OS is from 2006 Silverado / Sierra.
As I understand it, it is necessary to change the algorithm of the transmission, but I could not find such a car with 3.42
Question: where to get the segment? If nowhere, is it possible to manually rewrite the Trans & Trans diag settings?
You're over thinking it.
Click the edit tab. Then click the gear/tire wizard. Change the gear information to 3.42 and keep the same tire size, make sure the auto scale the transmission box is checked and click ok. That will change all the transmission shift settings for you.

Thank you. I'll try to ride with a new version, but I already think I'll have to go back to 3.73
3.42 are going to feel different, it won't pick up speed as fast and may downshift more often but it might get you better fuel mileage.
Depending on your tire size, the 3.73's are usually the better choice for gearing on a 4 speed. Going to 4.10's would be even better but your freeway cruising rpm will be higher.
