Variants meaning?

I'm looking at a stock 2019 turbo R file for the first time. What exactly do the variants mean? I see variants 0-3 in several spots in the file. I'm thinking that it's each cylinder 1-3 'but what would 0 be? Maybe im wrong about this? Please enlighten me! Any help is appreciated.

Variants are different sub models, in a model. Like for some reason on Outlander XMR, they use variant1 for fueling, where most stuff use variant0. You can make all variants the same, if you like.
