    Gen V 2009 JKUR Swap Issue 2017 L83/6L80

I recently swapped an 2017 L83/6L80 (both out of same vehicle) into a Jeep 2009 JKUR.

L83 is 3 wire HPS . I have an LT1 intake and TB installed

I used a Motech Swap Kit with their Harness, ECU, and tune.

Engine runs good in park However when I try and shift it out of park it revs immediately to WOT on its own and does not engage gears.

Here is the ECU and TCM info. I checked on TIS2web and the TCM OS system seems to be correct for the VIN.

Trying to determine where to go next with this. Reprogram TCM, More Tuning, Wiring Pin out issue, Etc as this is going to get very expensive very quickly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is your torque convertor bolted to the flex plate? Be there more than once.

Thanks for the response, It was a complete drop out of a running vehicle 2017 Sierra. I did not separate the engine trans.

Can you log transmission data while this happens? Looks like something is commanding the throttle open from the data you have logged but more data is better.

The "in gear" idle speed is setup to 0 for some reason. This tune is modified quite a bit and isn't "stock". I would recommend converting back to stock if you have the bone stock file and go from there. Cylinder displacement isn't setup for 5.3 and that's what threw the flag for me to compare to a comparable 2017 5.3/6L80E tune.

It is the tune that came loaded on the ECU with the swap. I don't have the original ECU /Tune.

I ordered a Pass through device so I can reprogram both the ECU and TCM together to the Same VIN from GM . I am not sure if it will load the stock tune when I do that.

Update: had to flash ECM and TCM together with same vin. Reset to stock. Disabled VATS, Starter Diag, and DOD. Its running ok now and trans is working but not shifting correctly just need to tune the trans and optimize the engine tune. Also as a note, I did a ton of research on this and if the ecu and trans are not a matched pair do yourself a favor and flash first and save yourself the headache. You can do it yourself with a Passthrough communicator and $50 gm license total cost $150 cheaper than half the cost to get towed to the dealer to flash.
