'21 Jeep Gladiator V6 Reader Upload Request: x7F Negative Response Code

I cross posted this on VCM Editor board.

I go to do a read, and get the error code mentioned in subject. I can read the transmission just fine. When I gather info, it doesn't auto-detect hardware and I self-select GPEC2A, 2018+ Dodge. I thought it might be interference from the dealer installed GPS tracking device, but I removed it from vehicle. Still same issue. Anyone come across this, or have thoughts? TIA.

Figured out what my problem is through a support ticket. I have a newer GPEC5 PCM that?s not currently supported

i dont think thats the case, Gpec4 if i recall is for the 4cyl turbo

did you have the smart key access installed?

Newer 21s are coming with a different ECM. I have seen pictures of the ECM with the connectors on top as opposed to the side. Really kind of a big deal abd a show stopper for guys doing forced induction, as I believe there is no support and kits are shipping with the expectation they will fit all 2021 jeeps.

I do have the smart access cable installed. Not familiar with the GPEC4, but Jeep started using the GPEC5 in mid-2021. It was luck of the draw at that time between ending up with a Gladiator with the GPEC2A or GPEC5.
