Oh I know it will have to come off to swap it, just hoping I don?t have to swap it. But it?s not looking good for the home team as of right now
Okay so we got the fuel pressure stuff figured out, but getting a C2A07 code and esc and tcs light along with reduced acceleration message and p0700 code. (These codes have been persistent since adding the supercharger and fuel system)
There are other background throttle tables that have to be changed for that stuff. The 22's and newer are especially touchy to airflow calcs... I'll be doing one with a turbo and a bigger tb in a while and will let you know for sure if it's possible to do - just not sure how soon, but he's going to a bigger tb and intake manifold on his 5.3 that I've already tuned for the turbo. I've done it several times the correct way on the older gen 5's by fixing those background tables and it makes a decent difference in the VE and torque models when those tables are right. I'm just not sure if one of these will have issues still after those are corrected?

Branden Leeb is tuning mine, and it?s giving him quite the fight. Today mine also did the same shit as one of the other guys above, bypassed the high pressure pump and starting making 100psi at the tank and 80psi at the rail instead of the 5-600psi.. but before the tb shit it was matching perfectly.
Pulled the blower and changed the regulator. There is a locator pin on the regulator and it doesn?t fit into the pump housing locator hole, so I had to file the pin off for it to sit all the way on the pump. This is just information for the next person that does this. Other than that, the regulator works perfectly on the pump. Fuel pressure is perfect.
I don't remember the mention of a regulator pin, so thanks for the heads up on that![]()

Not a problem, at this point I?m gonna share as much info as I possibly can. Because I do a lot of off the wall shit and mismatching and if I can help the next guy not make my same mistakes I will. I currently wanna find a way to unlock a TCM for my truck I have a general idea. Mine is not unlockable because my service number isn?t supported by HPtuners, however I did get a used TCM with a service number that is supported by HP and programmed it to my vin with an MDI GM tool but the truck won?t start with that TCM installed. It?s definitely been done before and I know it?s possible, I just need the specifics at this point.
Thanks for sharing this!! I'm in the middle of doing the same swap with a 24' 1500. We put a 3L Whipple on it, Escalade V injectors, return style fuel system, LT4 HPFP. It will start and idle, both pressures are good, part throttle it will start breaking up and the high side is dropping out. It threw the regulator code, P228B I think.
Did the regulator swap work on yours then? Its running ok? I just pulled the L84 pump back out tonight to look into it more and thats what led me here.
Sorry for the late response, yes the regulator swap worked perfectly. Make sure you file the locator pin off of your factory regulator so it sits all the way down on the lt4 hpfp.
Hi TrkNrs - i listened to a podcast from automotive diagnostics podcast e263 he was talking about how to blank and refresh TCM specifically for this.
I'm just about to start a similar project on my 1500 ZR2 gen6whipple 103TB BTRstage1PDS the 217 one as there are a few podcasts now from brian and JWT that talks about how good the short duration intake and long E events perform under boost from both power and IAT perspectives, -
im looking at using the katech goliath HPFP, 6mm Xdi 45 and a DW440 low side with a Vbooster - was going to try use the DSx flex kit for Global b
Hey Blufly, What did you learn about the TCM swap? Also, the pumps in these trucks are 4 wire 3 phase pumps so there aren?t any drop in options other than an Escalade V in tank pump, but of course they?re back ordered nationwide in US and Canada.
Ahh.. I see you?re on to something, that 440 is also a 4 wire 3 phase. I may go ahead and get that pump and fab it into my spare pump module I have. I wonder if we can get it without the controller considering we wouldn?t need it since we have a factory pump controller. I?ll try and wire it in directly to the factory wiring on the pump module
Thanks for posting that info. I got mine swapped and it is working.
Me and TrkNrrs have been going back and forth about this via text. I tried the DW440 pump and it doesn't seem to work well or is limited by our factory pump driver. It would cruise fine with 50psi of fuel pressure, but at WOT when the ecm goes into high fuel flow mode, it just drops off to nothing (light blue in lower graph in picture).

I'm back on a new stock pump (actually for a 2020 "flex fuel" truck GM 85623230). It's barely keeping up with a 105mm pulley on a 2650 and 60% E (LT4 injectors and hpfp). But that seems to be the limit.

My next step is probably going to be a DSX AUX pump, I just don't want to drill and tap my tank. I've had the internal pump in and out a few times now and as long as the tank is close to empty I can have it out and back in in about an hour.

I still have the pump and modified stock bucket if someone else wants to try it. You have to modify the bucket, swap wiring at the pump and the check valve is in the dw pump vs the white "nozzle" in the last picture.

Does DSX have an easily integratable aux pump for the Silverado's 6.2 L87? Do you need to adjust FPCM parameters to properly integrate?
Really seems like going aux is the only available/practical option.
Dave does not have a 19+ truck specific kit. You can buy the Builder kit and make up your own lines.
Tuning will likely be required. You will probably have to turn off an error code and possibly make your high flow mode more closely match the turn on point of the pump. https://dsxtuning.com/blogs/dsx-tech...ntrol-strategy
I think some other people have ditched the returnless brushless pump in favor of something like a return style fore kit. IMO that's going backwards and adds fuel heating issues. You'd have to figure out how to integrate the fuel pressure sensor that is built into the feed line and keep the fpcm happy to communicate that signal.
There's a possibility the Escalade V pump will work, but it's on backorder until June at least. I suspect it will have the same issue as the DW pump though.
