2006 5.9 ECU lockout after 3-4 writes

Hello everyone.

Novice tuner, not changing much in the ECU, but after making 3-5 "writes" to the 2006 5.9 Cumming Diesel ECU, it seems to lock out entirely. no Reads or writes from HP Tuners software, hand-held scanners, nothing. Once might be a fluke, but it's happened a second time. After the first time, got another stock ECU from the junkyard...went with a different laptop, shorter, more reliable USB-C cable, and blam, same thing. Completely locked out after the 4th write. Anyone else see this behavior with stock Dodge ECU's or is my luck just that bad?

Really? Are you saying it's HP Tuners software that is the culprit? VCM Editor is at the latest 4.10.5 and my MPVI2 is at the latest firmware...

I’ve got probably 100+ writes on my 2005 with no issues I eaven unplugged it on purpose in the middle of a flash and not one problem to date .
