Request for tables/parameters to be added

    Hi,

How long does it normally take for requested tables to be added? I bought my MPVI2 a few months ago for my EU 1.5T Fiesta ST and my calibration ID is missing loads for the burble control, active valve control and cylinder deactivation. I asked for these be added however its been a few months now and I've spent near ?500 on something that is missing stuff I need.

it really depends on many things. how well did you describe exactly what you need added. did you provide addresses to said parameters? length of time is also determined by demand/vs resources needed to implement said parameters

I described everything via their names (With screenshots and the ols file) from a winols a2l that I have for the firmware. Weirdly, later firmwares for the same car have some of the tables I require.

    Whats the ticket number?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Still in our Ford engineers work in queue, with that said if you need them added asap you can do that through the user defined params feature in our software since you already have all of the table address information as explained here https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...ned-Parameters

its still in our engineers work in queue, with that said you should be able to use the user defined params feature to add the tables yourself as it appears you already have the information, rather than waiting on us in this case.

Maybe he wants to save the $170 if the parameters are going to be added eventually?

  13. #13
Exactly this. Its frustating as most of the parameters I need are available for a slightly later firmware for the same car/engine. 6 months is a joke.

While i somewhat agree, heres the reality
in shop environment, waitng 5 months for a free fix, has now cost me more than the $169 than it would have cost to make it work. There is no guarantee that they will ever add these parameters into the definition file. There are sooooooooo many things on their to do list that has been there for years.

Also it may seem your paying $169 for a free fix, however, going forward, anytime you run into this again, you have already paid, and you dont have to wait on anybody, you can fix and move on

But why should I pay when a slightly later revision for the exact same ecu, car and engine has most of the tables I need? If you're going to support a car, you need to ensure you keep all definitions for each stratergy revision the same. I cant use the later file as its got bits disabled that mine requires enabled and HP doesnt show everything thats disabled either.

Unfortunately its not as simple as that.

    Just stating my opinion, but
if i had been waiting months with no eta, and i knew i could fix my issue and it costs $169,
i would have pulled the trigger a long time ago. Also knowing this isnt a one time use type deal, going forward i wont ever have to wait for them to define something, i can do it myself. It just seems like money well spent in both the short term and long terms, but again, its only my opinion, and how i prioritize my time and customers vehicles

unfortunatley over my many years of tuning, like it or not, i have found no tuning software to be 100% inclusive. Many many times i find myself swapping between softwares to fix an issue not defined in main stream software.

Dont you require TunerPro for the user defined add on? Its not a common software over in the UK, I have no experience with that. Winols is used over here and I have the full definition file for my car along but cant justify the cost of equipment for hobby tuning. I also sent this definition file to HP for free to assist, a file I paid money for.

I just dont understand why you'd provide tables for one software version but not the other when both softwares have the same tables and most of the addresses are the same?
