Protocol change from m17.8.7 to me17.9.74

can you change the protocol on a ecu from m17.8.7 to a me 17.9.74. ECU number is 4014125.

the ecu on the front says its a me17.9.74 but when i use my other tool it says it only recognizes it as a m17.8.7.

also i still have a mvp1 will those work on the powersports?

You will need an MPVI2.

Read the file using either controller (read is the same). And we will determine what it is. Easy way to tell is if its electronic throttle, it uses ME17.

Problem is they are 2 spare ecus. Both ecus say they are for me17.9.74 but when I tried to read them with my ktag I use it shows that they were reading as m17.8.7 so need them to be the me17.9.74. Just ordered the mpvi2 so should be here next week.

ktag is wrong at the ID of the pcm it happends always and more on the clones with old protocols fron 18 and before
