VVT Cam Table Values, please refresh my memory...

I don't do much with these, and had a bookmark somewhere that explained what say a value of 1 versus a value of 20 meant to the actual cam timing. I'll be darned if I can find that bookmark anywhere, and I searched to no avail.

Can someone please refresh my memory on what value equals what cam position?

    Thanks everyone

It's simply the value of cam retard from the full advance position.

Kevin put it pretty clearly. I think that most GEN4 cams are parked at 8.5 advanced (maybe some are 7 or 8...not sure). So a value of 1 would mean 7.5 advanced....and a value of 20 would mean 11.5 retarded past straight up.

    DOHC is different though.

Thank you as well sir, I knew it wasn't too difficult but couldn't remember where it started at. Made some changes to test and am pleased with the results
