I have found spark smoothing to cause this.

Also max out all the tables in Tip-In Limiting in Engine - Torque Management - General even though they are disabled at the top.

GHuggins- this is what i did. vtt.PNG

took row 200 from each spark table, copy & pasted to row 100 on each spark table. -10, 0, 10, 20, 30, & 40. Then I linked selections and selected rows 100 of each table and interpolated to the highest row 800. now im a little confused since you said calculate coefficients. I'm not sure which to select here... Calculate torque tables or extrapolate Coeffiecients. LOL uh.. can you help me down off this ledge?

(EDIT): program would only let me extrapolate then calculate. ill flash it in and see what happens..

Hey Alvin! Thank you for the heads up on this! I may have to introduce this into the process but for now im going to do process of elimination to figure it out. It may take a combination of both this and what
    GHuggins is advising.

    Yeah extrapolate after reworking them.

    after vtt.hplcurrent tune 3.31.22 vve1 mafvtttil.hpt

went for a ride and it still happens. seems a little more pronounced now. kind of like the car got stronger but intensified the bucking issue. I did verify that this will even happen when over 2k rpm but it is not as bad.

I guess change the torque model back then. Funny thing is it's rarely showing it going into coast mode now, but it has a whole lot more timing cuts. You'll probably want to try the tip in timing adjustments.

    ill give it a go.

spark.jpg when tuning timing, do you use the Spark advance graph in the scanner to determine what your spark should be? say for my 800 rpm idle its showing 16.9 in the graph but when I look in the High Octane table; it shows 40. Also, should the high octane and Idle base table match?

He was talking about tip in - it's under torque management.

do all MAP sensors act as MAP & BARO? I'm thinking it's possible I may have the wrong MAP sensor. Also, I do not see any channels for MAP voltage but i did find one for BARO voltage.ivt.hpl it stays at 0.00

dailytunestocktt.hpt tried to attach the log but its not letting me. maybe too big of file. i drove for 38 minutes so idk whats up with it.

anyways. ive replaced my MAP sensor and that seemed to help but not with the issue at hand. i believe you are correct. i too think this is timing related. i have logged cylinder misfire for all 8 cyl. nothing showed up. iv put VTT back to stock then smoothed it. still doin its thing. it seems like its some type of adaptive timing table thats doing what its supposed to but exaggerating the effects. MAP, MAF, THROTTLE all seem steady when it happens. Open to suggestions.
