    545rfe to 66rfe - 2007 Ram

    2007 545rfe to a 66rfe

Anyone done a swap like this and what is the anticipation of the tuning problems?

I programmed my 545rfe to enable the 2nd prime, essentially making it a 6 speed, but it was pointless since the gear ratio is so close it wasnt in that gear long enough to justify so i turned it off.

you essentially made your transmission a 65RFE, a 66RFE has totally different ratios

We intend to do one here this year in our 13 shop truck. We just need to find a file from a 2012 2500 or 3500 that has the right operating system for your current PCM. That or buy a PCM from that application and unlock it to run in your truck. The only road block will either be the rear driveshaft or the transfer case depending on whether you are 2wd or 4x4. 2wd will be pretty easy as it will just be a slip yoke and custom u-joint. 4x4 I think we can get a 29 spline input for the NP241D that the earlier trucks ran.
