Copying VCM layout to a new computer

When I copied my VCM layout to my new computer. None of the Function math parameters carried over. Do I have to redo them??

So I went to documents folders>hp tuners>VCM suite and copied that whole folder and pasted it to the new computer. That didn?t work.

So you saying every time you tuners need a new computer you have to copy the Function maths over. I?m not even sure how you could copy and paste from a line in one computer to another computer

I think I?m think about it wrong.

I save every config individually to a thumb drive just to be safe. Be it channels, transforms, user math, or gauge\graph\chart layouts, there's a "save as" option for each.
Then navigate to that location to reload individual configs for channels, transforms, gauges layout, graphs layout, charts layout, and user math parameters to the next computer.
Certainly not a "one click and done" method, but it works for me and my two laptops.

The math parameters are saved on your computer as a file for each one you make. This file needs to be copied over to the new computer in the same directory.

The files should be in My Documents > HP Tuners > VCM Scanner > Maths

If you copied your layout file over you also need to copy your config file over. Basically everything in "My Documents/HP Tuners/VCM Scanner" should be copied over to the new computer.

This has always worked for me but if it is not working for you there may be a bug with the software. I do recall one of my clients having to rename some of these files and then copy them into the appropriate folder. No idea why it was required or why it worked, it wasn't my computer.

    Tip of the day:
If you have Google/Gmail account, setup Google Drive and Sync app on your PC and select the HPTuners folders or your whole Documents folder. Then it will automatically sync all of your tunes, logs and configs to the cloud so that you can always recover them if your computer dies or gets lost. I have a couple different tuning computers so when I travel it makes it easy to be sure I have all the files I need regardless of what computer I have with me.

    I'm at a lose.

I got it to work once. But I didn't have time to work on the tune at that time. So the next time I go back to the truck the layout isn't there. And the imported layout just looks like the generic one.

Then I spend the time to set it up fresh. But everything I work on keeps disappering. I even tried to update the VCM suite.

I did notice in my VCM folder I'm trying to copy over under CHANNELS folder there is nothing in there. I'm not sure how to save something into that folder.
