    What do I need exactly?

So I have a 2011 Gmc Sierra 5.3 wanting to either remove flex fuel or be able to reset fuel alcohol percentage. I seen posts that hp tuners you can turn off the flex fuel. I have already reset alcohol percentage 4 times. I'm at a loss right now. Thanks for your input.

If you bought HP Tuners and the 2 credits it requires for your truck, you could turn it off forever.

$400 is kind of a lot just to do that. Finding a local person that does tuning may be a cheaper option.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Where I live though no one does tuning and I don't know where the closest person would be even. So it is either buy the hp tuner or buy a level 2 scanner which I haven't found one for less than $600 and keep reseting it.

Your truck is trying to tell you something is wrong
you likely have a failing fuel pump, or something in the fuel supply system is going bad
the virtual flex system uses trims to dictate alcohol content. meaning for fuel trims are going waaaay out of the norm
need to properly diagnose why it keeps going off base

I had a shop diag it and couldn't find anything. The specs for the fuel rail are within range, o2 sensors are within range, maf sensor is within range, so everything that has to do with the alcohol percentage is correct. So they are just as stumped. So unless I start dumping parts into it and hopefully it hits I'm throwing money at it. No articles I've found figured it out. So why not just remove the flex fuel BS that I don't have around here anyway? That's what the problem is?
