Using VCM scanner live spark retard function
Hi all. I see the VCM scanner looks to have a live spark adjustment function albeit for retard only.
Has anyone used this for live spark tuning at all?
You could add 10degrees of timing to the high octane map and then use the scanner to adjust the live delivered spark? Any idea if that would be reliable?

I couldn't get mine to work at all, I think it may have been a GEN III type control, but they took it out, along with AFR control, in the GEN IV stuff and vehicles. Probably a EPA mandated thing.
