    Port injection controler

    Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forum and a new C7 Z06 owner. Just picked it up 2 weeks ago and am extremely happy with the car! I came from a 2021 Toyota Supra which had upgraded turbo, intake manifold, and port injection. Thing was a rocket but unfortunately it was involved in an accident and was totaled out .

Now, I'm looking at fueling upgrades and I know the Gen V LT has similar fueling limitations as the supra did (DI Problems) and the popular option is to go with a Motec ecu and run port injection that way. My question now is why doesn't anyone just run a stand alone port injection controller like a split second AIC box, or better yet a Motiv Reflex box? The Motiv Reflex was incredibly capable and popular for the Supra/BMW platform and I've asked Motiv if they can do something similar for us LT guys and they said they certainly can. Id like to work with them and see if the Reflex can take care of our port fueling needs but I want to get some insight on why port injection controllers never took off on the LT platform.

    Thanks in Advance!

Not sure where you got that info… tons of high HP LT cars running port. Most use Holley Dominator for all the bells and whistles, or something less expensive like MAF Fusion works too.

Someone around here keeps trying to get me to move to Missouri and build a nice PI system for him... Been too busy with the e-gate controller to want to put up with his junk though > <

There is definitely a hole in the market for a quality supplemental PI injection system though.

And in just two weeks, I will be headed to Missouri to fill Dave's hole in the supplemental PI market. Gonna fill it good. Excited for vehicle testing.

Nothing wrong with 2HPSI as long as you are prepared to realign the torque model. It's pretty easy to do but the DSX kit that is coming out avoids this. I've tuned plenty of 2HPSI setups but I want to test out the DSX kit on the shop car.

Same overall goal, different product vision. Our approach is less labor intensive and far simpler. Currently there are only a handful of selectable options the user needs to configure to be ready to run. And no calibration of a separate system at all. Nice and easy

Much like every other option out there… it’s archaic in approach.

After you guys get all your holes filled, I think Dave should put Smoke in charge of all customer communications. LOL

I think people have just become accustomed to associating the truth with being mean when that's not the case. I've never been one to mince words or sugarcoat.

Yeah I mean every Gen3 Coyote in a $40K Mustang GT can seamlessly and automatically blend DI and PI as needed in the fly to prevent a lean condition. Why GM couldn’t pull this off in the Gen6 Camaro and LT1/4 Vette is beyond me…. That Gen3 Coyote setup is the target for sure in my humble opinion.

    Dave,

I certainly didn't mean anything by it. I'm a huge fan. I just got a kick out of it, myself as someone in a job who usually WANTS to say what you said, but I typically SHOULD say what Smoke said.
