    2005 Corvette where does the ECU get it's ambient air temp value from?

    I'm curious what I'm not understanding about this car, as the HVAC control reads correct at let's say 70F (on a 70F day) but when I look at the HPT logs I take, the ambient air temp (SAE) is reading 43F. I assumed they both used the same sensor down the the passenger side of the lower radiator support near the horns. Thanks.

    It's a calculated value and often wrong, like oil temp on the ones that don't have a physical oil temp sensor.
