Connected to car but can?t scan...

I have a MPVI2+ and a winds tablet that I use with it which I plan to eventual make as a dash for my LS swap. Anyways, I?ve scanned my donor car (a 2007 Chevy express) many times and VCM scanner works, but today I?ve been trying to scan my friend?s 2015 Silverado to help him out. The vehicle connects and displays all the proper info (but the gauges are empty) then I go to press the ?start scan? circle and it greys out for a few seconds then comes back to normal. I?ve tried resyncing interface along with restarting the pc, truck, plugging and unplugging the usb, and installing version 4.12.4. Thank you in advance for any help.

Yes, I connected to it and it shows all the info, (says the car name, engine, all that at the top) but just won?t display info on the guages/start scanning live data. I have a video but idk how to upload it here...

Did you re-poll for supported parameters under the vehicle tab yet?

Mine did the same as in the video, I had to re-install windows to fix it.
