unable to license ECM - no options available

Hi All,
First time coming across this. Connected up to a truck for a guy, was able to download the tune - strange that there is no VIN -- all symbols. The file appears to be good, I can make all the changes in the world. Tried to download the tune to the truck - of course it asks for licensing. Purchased credits, resynced interface, and clicked download again -- only option is 'do not license'

Submitted a ticket to HPT - but since we are going into a weekend, i thought id ask here..

vin block is corrupt and needs to be fixed via tech 2 or similar oem style flash device, then reread.

Somewhere I read that previous versions of hpt could use a vin wizard to modify vin. I assume that's not possible here.

Kinda have to license a computer to change a VIN, so that doesn't work.

Get the computer flashed with the trucks VIN using a GM tool and start over again.
