Thread: The New HP Tuners MPVI3

MPVI3 Enhanced Scanning with TrackAddict...will it require one or more vehicles licensed as the MPVI2 does? Or will Enhanced Scanning with TrackAddict work right out of the box, no vehicle licenses required?

What level of Bluetooth protocol support (3, 4, 5, 5.2...) is required on the PC side?

So to the question about the old guys with the old MVPI PRO cable.... I realize i am behind but want to keep up with the technology/support and all that. I remember going to MVPI2 there was a discount to upgrade. What would be the cost to upgrade to the same setup to the MVPI3 with pro set (to be able to do the w/b sensors etc) still as i am now? It looks like the MVPI3 comes all inclusive with PRO?

Perhaps i am jumping the gun here, and pricing maybe not established as the release is forthcoming. Thank you for your help.

Upgrades will start in Dec 2022, pricing has not yet been set.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Bill, for those of us that are antsy and can't wait, can we purchase the MPVI3 once its available, and possibly receive credit at a later date for our older unit once an upgrade process has been determined? Also, I noticed that a certain tuning school is offering the MPVI3 as a pre-order, saying shipping starts September 16th, that is more information then we have received from HPTuners itself, is it legit? Thanks

You can read about MPVI3 features here https://www.hptuners.com/mpvi3/
Then why does it not support the EEC-V Ford Mustang.

is there a list of compatible wideband gauges to use with the MPVI3?

I've had to re-sync my adapter 3 times today before I could write a new tune. the message said it wasn't attached.

Are any deals to be had on a prolink+ harness?

You can find all of the predefined external inputs such as widebands in VCM scanner under the channel selector screen. Pro link + cable is $49.99 plus shipping.

I am thinking about upgrading. Are we able to add the accelerometers to a channel to log gforces or something?

MPVI3 has 8 GB of storage as outlined on the product page https://www.hptuners.com/mpvi3/

Logging speed is vehicle/ecm dependant as are the number of channels you can log. Typically older ecm's log slower than newer ecm types.
