    2019 Camaro 1ss Fireball 700 Help!

Hey Fellas, And Fellets.. I Recently Purchased a 2019 Camaro 1SS with just 8030 Miles on it. It is absolutely beautiful and perfect in everyway, I am in love with this car except for 1 detail.. I CAN NOT DRIVE IT thanks to my local Chevrolet stealership. Long story but I'll try to keep it short. This car has the " Fireball 700 Package " For you who might not know ( I assume most will ) it is basically a stock camaro 1ss with a D1SC Procharger kit, 1LE brake package, wheels and some cosmetics. I Bought the car and got to drive it for just 2 days. and for those 2 days I was all smiles! I put over 200 miles on it in those 2 days just ridin around gettin it in this thing man what a beast. I was told when purchasing from the dealer that it had a recall on it that they had not performed yet and I could bring it back in in a couple days and get that done so I thought GREAT! So that couple days came I dropped the car off on my way to work and stopped in to pick it up later that day only to be told " We performed the recall on your car but now the car does not run properly " I thought you have got to be kidding me, I asked what happened they said they thought it had something to do with the ECM programming. When you open the hood the first thing you see right on top of the core support is a bright red sticker that says DO NOT RE-TUNE ECU! Well apparently whatever they did on the recall either flashed the OEM tune file back in it or something I have no idea. They told me there was nothing they could do for me at that point so I towed the car to my shop. Now I am no stranger to tuning and using HP but I have always just stuck with gen 3 and 4 stuff, it honestly is all I know, This is my first go with direct injection and all the newer technology in gm's vehicles. I currently have a 99 yukon with a mild 5.3 in it Borg S480, TH400 etc.. That I regularly tune on and beat the hell out of again no stranger to it however just simply pulling the tune file from the camaro and looking at it I got a lil woozy but I thought I got to learn this! how hard can it be?! well after a few days of messin with it I am just lost. I called Fireball performance multiple times and keep getting the run around, the lady says oh the guys are on a test drive or they are not in or simply no one answers and the voicemail box is full! I've given up on them, my hopes were since these cars get a badge with a serial number and build signature that maybe they would have info on file for the car like high hopes for the tune they put in it but yea I wasn't holding my breath. So here I sit looking at this stunning camaro that I just want to go drive and I can't! I was hoping since everyone here has been so helpful in the past someone might want to give me some advice, pointers something?! I have managed to get the car to run but one of the biggest issues at the moment is as soon as I start the car it is literally trying to idle at -20 to -25 degrees of timing and just blubbers if I just touch the pedal a pinch the timing jumps up to a more reasonable number and it smooths out, I've installed a WB in it and have it all setup in the scanner for obvious reasons and I am ready to get this monster back on the road. Seriously if anyone is willing to lend a hand in some way I would forever be grateful. This is the first thing like this I have ever purchased. It was a gift to myself to celebrate my divorce being final I can send or post a copy of the Tune file I pulled out of it when I got it back from the dealership if anyone wants to look it over and let me know what they think. I can also drive it enough at low speeds to log some if need be, I don't have much money after buying the camaro but I would be glad to compensate someone for they're time if they can help me. if you made it this far thank you for reading and hopefully I hear from 1 or some of you! Take care -Dan

I was going to go out and do some quick light driving but I am so hesitant because it runs so poorly down low, Also why on earth can I not get this thing to force open loop, I set the O2 readiness voltage to -1,795 and it still goes into closed loop, I tried everything to force open loop with no luck the only way i've been able to do it is in the scanner just commanding it but what a pain in the arse!

Here is a few minutes of idle log and some light throttle touches at the end.. JUST LOOK at that timing would ya! and what in the hell are the O2's doing just randomly checking out then back in... I am so confused and frustrated with this car, I have tried multiple things today, I know these platforms are more torque based so I played with the lower cells in the VTT and by doing so I can get the car to idle much much better with timing numbers closer to 0 and sometimes positive but attempting to move it it was just bucking like hell so obviously that does not work.. Please someone!

That file looks like a stock or almost stock file. I would expect much different settings for those mods. If it is indeed a Fireball tune still, it is absolutely awful. Nothing relevant has been changed. I think you are correct that the dealer flashed the ECU back to stock. You either need a pro tuner to fix it or get Fireball to get your tune fixed. Best of luck man.

PS, if you do want it pro tuned, there are a couple of guys on here that do blower setups on LT1 cars all day and can easily help. I do a lot of LT4 stuff and am not really a fan of blowers on LT1's so I don't mess with them.

UPDATE: You are correct TriPin I just spoke with Procharger and they confirmed that the kit was sold to B&R ( Fireball ) but they obviously did not sell them any tuning with it they did all the ecm stuff in house. Procharger also informed me this has been a common issue on these cars since the recall was issued, dealerships are reflashing the stock tune file. So with that being said who wants to tune this for me? I am not against remote tuning or having someone that knows what they are doing do it I just would like to have it done. Thanks again for the reply

Look up Ghuggins or Ben Charles or SultanHassanMasTuning on the forum here. Those guys have a ton of experience with aftermarket superchargers on LT1's and can probably get you fixed up remotely. I know there are a couple others but their name escapes me at the moment.

You have a code that is causing this retarding "Safety measure". The E92A ECM logic works differently when engine related codes are detected. It retards the timing!

Codes are gone now, the issue is the stock tune is in the ecm and it shouldn't be! Sultan is in the process of helping me out i'll update as it progresses!

I see, they've flashed your ECU with a stock tune! Sultan's been known in the country of how good he's. All the best.
