Cammed 2011 Chevy 25000hd Hot start issue

I am tuning a 2011 Chevy 2500 hd and I am having hot start issues. Sometimes it will start right up others it wont start at all unless you give it at least 25% throttle. Starts great cold and runs and drives great. I am running in SD right now to get the VVE dialed in and it is almost perfect. But will not start correctly hot. any ideas? I have tried anything I can think of. Cam is BTR truck norris cam.

Check out this thread, here is a quote from it:

“Easy trick: Use PE to force it to OL. Set PE to 1.00 at 1000RPM and below. Set your enable PE torque and pedal enablers to 0% for RPMs at 1000RPM or below.”

I’m going to use that trick when I install my cam. It wipes everything about idle clean and is super easy to implement/ remove while dialing in other factors of the tune. Basically it will ensure an easy to setup startup fueling ratio. Good luck.

You can either lower cranking ve to something where it will fire right off or fix the VE. You're too rich around 100 map in the lower rpm "cranking" areas. You can also play with your cranking fuel or airflow. You're just too rich at cranking... Cranking airflow will need to be dialed in via rpm flare after dialing in your min air.
