07 Duramax i have toggled the vats disabled i now have a service theft deterrent system light on vehicle starts and runs what am i missing thanks

These run BCM/TCM's Just a question for you. Why did you do a VATS disable? It is usually reserved for when you have deleted modules like engine swaps in early model vehicles.

the truck was purchased at an auction and the ignition switch has been changed at some point with the original key wire tied to the column so it would run. they knocked that key off and lost it so it wouldnt start i toggled the vats to disabled in the field and drove it back to the shop it says service theft deterrent system just wanted to turn off the light thanks....

You can't. Unless you have the the software to modify the cluster or you desolder the LED on the board. You will still have the codes though.
