Hi, I'm Paolo and I'm writing from Italy, I mounted a CHEVY GEN V engine on the jeep TJ and now I'm trying to make it work...
Hi, my name is Dan. I'm as green as green can be when it comes to programming ECM's. Thankfully I have my son I can lean on, he's got 4 years experience. I worked 21 years as a GM transmission specialist. I've built a few carbureted muscle cars and hot rods. Currently have a 69 Mach I and a 34 Chev pickup. I've also worked on top fuel dragsters and nitro funny cars since 1988. For the last 20 years I've worked as an instructor teaching the new generation of apprentice techs the basics. Heading into retirement and thought it would be fun to learn a new (to me) part of the trade. I have three vehicles to practice on, hopefully they are still drivable when I'm done! lol Thanks in advance for any help with my curiosities!
whos top fuel teams were you on????
i got out of school and got my a&p lic late 1981 when the aircraft industry was about to fold and ended up in the NHRA working on fuel teams as well
John Force first, and then you know how that goes... i moved around from team to team
worked with some great people and learned a bunch over 2 decades before starting my own top gas team
if i was charging for my experience, rather than my time, no one would be able to afford my help
not sure what platforms you plan on 'practicing' on (i only tune mopar) but hmu Dan
Hi Bryan,
I'm a mechanic, switched over to IT a ways back. Only experience is with tuning is Dynamic EFI. I'm looking to move on from GenI SBC.
New guy here. Played around with Megasquirt only a micro-amount a few years ago but never took the time to really learn. I'm here to learn, listen, read, and hopefully become proficient at tuning my own junk. I've got a 0411 and CNP swapped 99 K30 pickup with a Vortec 454 that I need to begin with and later move on to my 6.0/4l80e 77' square body. I plan to do more listening than speaking as I've learned that is the best way to learn and not piss off those who know what they are talking about.
Running in circles and trying not to get dizzy...
99 Chevy k3500 CCLB 7.4/4L80e 6" RCD lift 33s on KG1s
93 GMC Yukon GT stock daily

Hi, I'm Daniel. I have very limited knowledge of how to do actual tuning but I easily understand the basic prerequisites such as stoichiometry, OBD2 diagnostics, etc. Currently at level 0 but looking to improve and seek guidance. I'm a listener, not a talker.
Mostly, what I want to do is find out ways to deal with my country's low quality, low octane and high sulphur gasoline, especially for Toyotas.
Привет, меня зовут Сергей.
Я огромный любитель мопар и теперь решил расширить свои знания настройкой данного зверя, но пока я новичок в такой детальной настройке. :круто:
Jackdidley here. Been doing a lot of reading about HP tuners, deciding if I need o buy it. Ive downloaded the software and clicked around it. Really only wanting a trans tune for my 6l80. Lots of good info here. Also lots of confusing info. I have Windows 10 and 11. I am guessing W 11 is the way to go. Opinions ??
Welcome Mr Didley
Or is didley your middle name?
Imagine if it were, and yer last name was Squat…
That would be sick : )
How did you partition the drive in order to get both windows 10 and 11 on your laptop?
*Keep in mind this is the Internet Jack, and you are free to respond with anything you would like : )
Just open disk management and create a partition, then install the OS of your choice from a flash drive. I have too much time on my hands so I try a lot of operating systems. I sort of prefer Linux but recently tried Windows 11 and it is much better than it was 3 years ago. At the current time I am posting on Ubuntu. Its free and very user friendly. This is the first Lounge forum I have seen where guys post serious stuff. The tuning forums are great, but pretty much over my head.
thanks!
i built race cars
i do not have any experience building computers
luckily HP Tuners (mpvi2 and windows 10 laptop) is simple to use

Hello chat, I'm a first time hp tuner. I'm looking to enable e85 settings on my 2018 Tahoe. I have an mpvi3 that I just picked up second hand. I downloaded vcm suite. I created an account. I got the mpvi3 is cleared and registered to me.
My questions are; I think my next step is to buy credits? Also, is it possible to run vcm on a Samsung galaxy tablet? If so, what drivers do I download in order to get it to work?
Hi Ian here new to this stuff going to give it a whirl on my babies. 2018 Power Wagon 6.4 , 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, And Possibly My 2nd gen swb dodge ram 1500....wehoo!
Hi everyone. I've been lurking on here a while trying to freeload any knowledge and tips I can. This site has a wealth of tuning experience. I have an mpvi2 pro link I am using to tune my 95 Chevy k1500 gmt400. It currently has an LQ4 w/243 heads and small cam and a 4l80 swap. Thanks for all the help so far!
Hello New here. Just received my unit in the mail. I will be tuning a Saturn Ion Redline lsj with an unknown history. I have been working out many of the little things that were clearly wrong with the car. I have had a persistent throttle position a/b code that I am currently working out. Hopefully this kit will help. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks
I'm Allan,
New here. Interested in tuning my 2011 3.6L V6 Pentastar.
Mods -
PUG lower intake manifold
NGK Laser Iridium plugs

Wanting to add a BBK 78mm throttle body, but throwing too lean, too much air codes, hence why coming over to HP Tuners
