The original ECM definitely failed-EVAP Vent solenoid circuit failure P0449. It was stuck "on" in the ECM.

FWIW if you put a selectable transfer case in it for testing it won't matter. When done put your AWD back in. It is not as hard a it sounds.

Set up an A/T trans log. Drive it and see. Log commanded gear, TCC parameters, etc. If that all looks good you probably have an internal issue.
