During the 1-2 shift the High-speed governor goes to 0mm3. The FCA DC % goes to 1,600. Once the Uncompensated MM3 goes to 0 the truck turns back on. You can see the throttle position stays the same...

We got our customer a new computer from Flagship One. What we didn't know is sometime in this truck's life the SKIM module by the key lock was removed. I have set Skim to disabled in HP Tuners and...
Don't know if you guys have noticed with the latest software update from Hp Tuners but many of the Parameters needed for fueling are gone. This is VCM Editor 5.0.4 I encountered several issues with...
I would try bringing down your rail pressure in cruising range. Larger injectors are more sensitive to rail pressure. It is going to cause smoke output to increase. Also, use the "Boost Limit A"...
Working on a single injection event tune. I have noticed that with the pilot on during cranking the truck holds off the injector opening until 700 rpm. At this point, the pilot comes on then when the...
2004.5 Rebuilt with 03-04 pistons. Dual fuelers and 250% over injectors. Fleece dual fueler kit and controller. The truck randomly starts missing and smoking raw fuel. Acts like a bad injector....
Open VCM editor and open the tune file for the truck. Have the MPVI2 plugged into the laptop and the truck key is in the run position. Already have resynced the interface. There is no...
Okay, I appreciate your help on the matter.
Okay, Thank you.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Have you ever seen this before? I received this base file with these OS upgrades. The wording used isn't even spelled correctly. Would someone have...
Does anyone know if there has been an update on the Cummins ECM platform? I have been seeing now Code Modifications like "Extended Datastream". Can anyone explain to me what this is?

That is what I thought too. Very strange that was on there and not spelled correctly. Don't like it at all.
I notice on some of my other files under OS there is now "Extended Datastream". Is this...
I got a base file sent to me. Under OS it has two code modifications. I have not seen this before. I will insert a picture of it. Can someone explain what this actually does? Does this also mean that...
Is this always a background code after flashing with HP tuners?
Torque Curve won't affect rail pressure. Rail pressure is usually do Cp3, lift pump, and way the pump is controlled in tune file.
Did you change the pulse in that area? If you did it can cause bucking and a sense of run away.
Did you change the injector pulse in that area of the table? Sometimes when you have a low to large pulse width next to each other it will cause bucking. I have seen this in cruising areas. Too big...
I would agree. Are you using the latest software with a V3? I know it has the ability to convert Xcal files. I haven't purchased a V3 yet and still rocking the old software.
I figured to have a rotary switch. Just need to figure out the different resistance values to change the baro. Don't know why I never thought of that before. On a different subject. Do you know what...
That makes two of us. Jim, I just dynoed a 2005 auto truck with HP tuner already on it. It has a four-position switch plugged into the baro sensor to change between baro maps. I have been looking...
Thank you Jim. I always forget that with HP tuner you can't just change the VIN in the editing software. Use to using EFI Live for so long.
Hey everyone I am working on an 08 manual truck. I just built the engine to support 4400 rpm but can not get the tune to hold 150mm3 past 2900 rpm. At that point, it starts pulling fuel. I haven't...
I know I am super late at replying. I always forget to subscribe. I actually found that article from S&S. It was very helpful. Also when I got my own injectors 100% overs I received a flow sheet....
Is it causing any fuel or timing to be pulled back? If it isn't I wouldn't worry about it. I have seen that come up before and it has not caused any issues in my tuning. It does not pull fuel from...
