Not sure if you can "write entire" a I4 OS into a V6 model E67 / E38 pcm... (Only Dealer / Tech 2 can)
Which map do you mean here? The airflow maps? (besides the fact that the HPT VE table does not much on these ecu's...)
Or some internal "fuel map" that is the result of the IFR table x voltage...
Good that it's not an issue then with the LSJ. As said I now run my 60lbs injectors at 43.5psi base pressure and boost referenced, so the IFR limit is not an issue yet for me. But I will need to...
Ah, it's a space issue... I once had to move a distributor to the front of the engine for that same reason. European 4 cil turbo C20LET engine. Maybe that is an idea for the cam sensor, but lots of...
I know it's mostly about the offsets in the LSJ ecu, but furter down:
"I have also verified the IFR voltage multiplier table DOES NOT WORK above 63.5....no matter what. The computer will only go...
That is what that multipliuer is supposed to do, but:
https://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?44040-LSJ-Injectors-101-Your-basic-how-to&highlight=lwrs10
But does the multiplier raise the IFR above the 63lb/hr limit on the LSJ? Several postings that say that on the LSJ it multiplies, but the maximum is still capped at this 63lb/hr...
I...
This 126lb/hr comes from the LSJ's 63.5lb/hr max of the IFR table with a multiplier of 2?
Thought it was found that this multiplier does not increase the max possible IFR and fuel is still capped at...
Just fit an LSJ cam sensor at the exhaust position on your Saab B207R. Most likely you have a vacuum pump connected there now?
Only issue is that you probably need to run an LSJ exhaust cam where...
You need a cruise control to keep the speed/revs steady and have the throttle increase with more load...
As a rough guess I think the recorded time is maybe 5-8% off, which is pretty enormous for a clock timer... :( :(
How accurate is the recorded timing interval in Stand Alone mode normally?
Was viewing a few recorded logs to generate some lap times, but the HPT log seems off by a few seconds on a 2 min track...
Vehicle Anti Theft System. It's a build in immobiliser (coded keys + BCM) that you need to switch of in a stand-alone application like your engine swap project car. :)
It's somewhere in the HPT E39...
Is probably an issue when you're off the VE map, but in our Dynamic problem zone we're just reaching 177kPa...
Will see if we can find differences in logged VE, MAF and Dynamic airmass.
Just digging through the forum for this and the V8 guys seem to have exact similar issues:
https://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?53315-Dynamic-Airflow-Transition-Lean.
Running full MAF...
I fully understand your explanation about VE. (Actually its GMVE, which contains a bit more than a pure VE table. There's a long explanation about this by RedSupra or so somewhere)
And sorry by...
Good info, just trying to understand it all correctly...
(What do you mean exactly with "Base"? I assume the VE table? MAF offset is a parameter I saw in other ecu's, but not present in HPT for the...
same problem: https://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?35435-Strange-Fueling-Question
PS2; you said; "I did see the dynamic lean issues on my friends cobalt when tuning the TVS as well but it went away as I spent more time on it"...
You mean you spend more time on tuning the VE...
I know that VE is used for quick air changes to correct the slow MAF sensor, that's why I want to keep using the VE-MAF blend, but WHAT is causing it to run leaner than commanded in PE-mode untill...
We found a similar weird Dynamic switch over issue while tuning our Harrop SC-ed LSJ...
MAF and VE dialed in seperately with a Wideband O2 and also with fueltrims for the closed loop area.
PE is...
Do you have a working speed signal to the ecu?
Once triggered, the ecu looks for a vehicle speed and only above a certain mph the fans are shut off again. Otherwise the ecu thinks you're still stuck...
Searched but did not find anything related;
I'm busy with the Virtual Dyno program on my LSJ (P12 ecm) and for that made a simplified logger configuration where I only log the basics for logging...
So is that just an HPTuners tune for your application/car, or some layer for stand-alone use? (like Trifecta did)
What ecm does this run? The E39 or the E39A?
And does it run a "special" stand alone layer tune a la Trifecta, or just a HPT tune suited for your car with all the non-present stuff turned off?
