Added a supercharger to my jeep with 4.0. I'm trying to dial in the fuelling for the most part but getting some funky stuff. Not only is fuel not finding a spot between lean and rich in closed loop...
You were correct. I had an obnoxious amount of vacuum leaks. Just fixed them and fired up the jeep with supercharger and it idles 800 rpm and runs way better. Running insanely rich though.
You...
Just installed a supercharger to my 97 Jeep 4.0 and when i start it the engine starts screaming to and past 3k rpms. Im trying to fiddle around with scale to no noticeable change.
Welcome! You'll want to familiarize yourself with tuning first, https://www.hpacademy.com/courses/efi-tuning/
Next you'll need a wideband sensor and gauge
and finally read this thread! It may...
Im pretty sure you have to tune to the 2 bar sensor . Use the search function theres quite a bit of info with people needing to adjust for their 2 bar sensor. What supercharger kit did you use? Im...
I use the beta for everything and had no issues.
These jeeps dont have an EGR and unsure about when they do have them. However, most people just copy the one table like EGR on to the EGR off table so theyre the same.
Tuning the fuel table with...
Thank you! I made the adjustments to the table.151484151485
I was just going through my tune and saw the air enrichment fuel correction. This table starts at 82 degrees celsius! during datalogging i can vary from 30-50 degrees celsius during this time of the...
Perfect, Thank you! Im adjusting the timing advance next here but only 1 degree at a time. Not sure if I should tune it at 91 or at 87. Don't really see myself using 91 all that much
When zeroing the compensation tables/adders be prepared for your initial readings (if you have a wideband) to run a little leaner. Otherwise everything seems to be fine so far. Will be working on...
Did a few runs with the tables zeroed out. The first run definitely ran leaner without the adder tables but brought everything back up on the base fuel map. Overall everything seems to run just fine,...
Thanks!

Disabling closed loop would enable open loop causing the ECU to use the base fuel map (O2 sensors will essentially be disabled and your scanner will say 0 in every cell when you data log). Whether...
Shout out to Boris https://viatrack.ca/ for having the tools to actually do this. Im working with a jeep 4.0 which is pretty bland for sensors particularly the knock sensor. The older models late 80s...
LTFT is reset by disconnecting the batterys negative and letting it sit 10+ mins or over night. LTFT will only adjust to be at stoich. If you reset your LTFT then at startup it will dump fuel until...

Heres my tune so far, however I have not uploaded it to my jeep yet. this one is Forced open loop and I zeroed out most compensation tables like Power enrichment and part throttle...
I'm planning on adjusting my timing advance after my AFR has been set. I was looking around and saw this as I was worried that if the value is maxed it will use the idle table instead of the main...
FYI, as the OP said in posts. You have to force open loop for any adjustments to your fuel table to actually take affect. This can be changed Fuel > Oxygen Sensors > closed loop enable box > set to a...
Set threshold to 896 and nothing blew up so it should be fine to adjust
Works perfectly! Thanks everyone!
Just going through everything to make sure everything is correct before adjusting AFR. Noticed that this was maxed out and read the description and thought maybe I was being affected by it. I was...
My Idle threshold is 8160 rpm. From the description, under this rpm threshold idle timings are used. Am I correct to change this to something like 900 RPM?150746
