After making a tool to test pump travel and doing some tweaking on pump install ,6 lbs on pump gas (4th gear dyno pulls) final tuning it made 535

Same problem here 2015 gmc yukon denali 427, whipple ,cam in the high 23x @.050 I had no problem getting wot with maf on went to sd lost a bunch of throttle

16 degs timing, 6.5 lbs ,12.00 afr, 3rd gear ,with 8 speed trans, gmc yukon denali 5 inch drive shaft, that was like 3rd pull when pump locked up

My boss took the pump with the big spring off,clamped the small spring and shaft in a vise with light tension then give it a easy pull it came unstuck.

Yes it is a lt4 pump
I turned the motor over to check cam travel with calipers (ruff idea) it does not come up to the pump height
With the outer spring off the pump looks a little funny.
I need a new one to check...
I took the blower off it was a pain, if it was .030 bigger it would not fit wow its tight.
Not sure what's wrong nothing looks broken
Maybe the pumps bad from a big lobe cam and lash cap?
