    8 speed trans tune help

    I have a 2019 challenger rt with the 8 speed auto and need help qith my 1-2 shift. Ive done everthing i can think of and still cant seem to get it to shift properly. I have the 1-2 shift to ahift at 5600 rpm, but it doesnt shift till about 6600 rpm. Nothing ive done has worked, and ive had other tuners look at it, and still nothing. Any help would be welcomed

    What shift tables do you have set to 5600. I only found 1 table 41 and that spontaneous downshift. Most of the other tables are 6200 or 5475. have you logged to see which shift ID is being used ?

    Ive changed every table to be the same for wot. 5600 for 1st and 6200 for 2-8

    Once I am done and put the factory tune in and do the adaptive return do I put the tune I have in now, Or build a new one off of the factory tune

    8 speed trans tune help

    james, did you figure it out? i tested your trans tune file in my 2016 charger rt and in situation i found the perfect shift at 5675 at WOT with stock engine tune. There are some trans tables that would not copy over due to OS differences and read only data that will not allow me to change which pisses me off because I completed the parameter access lectures and still most of the important tables are ready only. I will say its not a bad tune but it still needs some work. I have attached your tune with some changes to that works for my application so you can compare. if you have questions let me know. DONT JUST COPY AND PASTE. Please data log and find what tables are actually being used and modify those if you haven't already.

    Thats both good and bad to hear. If you didnt have any issue with your shifts, then that means it moat likely is something mechanical. Ive even eliminated the torque convertor lockup to see if that works, and it didnt. So im thinking more than likely i have a bad clutch. I know its not perfect, i dont have to much time to work on it, but im glad its not bad, but alot of it is trying to get that gear to shift, so ive been trying everything. So once i do a full relearn ill put that in and see what happens

    I did have issues with the shifts just as you described but I corrected them buy logging, comparing,modifying then writing back several times a day !! (Screenshot attached of just the last 4 days). ADHD has its benefits and its hurdles!! I have managed to write a pretty good ghost cam tune with the stock cam by figuring out how a PID controller works and about a close to rev matching with the paddles and m-gate with the stock TCM as it can get. (that I have seen so far anyways IMO blah blah blah) Compare the tune i posted before the assumption of a mechanical failure. If someone making changes to a tune knowing they are not an expert why would that someone assume its mechanical issue before checking the tune first.

    I'm not an expert by any means but I know I have read a shit ton on these forms and have pushed my trans to the limits with writing tunes and testing a couple hundred times and figuring out what some of those numbers mean because i have the attention span of a five year old and reading the forms does not exactly grab my attention. So let just test what this button does mentality is always the best decision right !!!

    I guess i miss read what you said. So what all did you do to fix it? I looked at the tune you posted, but really nothing was to different on the upshift side of the tune that made it look like, that was the issue. How did i not see that? I know you said you changed the shift to 5675, but i dont think raising the shift point would help, would it?
