can someone look at this datalog file. Tuner was NOT as advertised

Long story short I bought the car setup as it is with a Magnuson Supercharger. Intercooled 01 C5 auto. runs fine but I had no idea the status of the tune or if it needed adjusting since car came from California.

Ran across dude in Texas said he had dyno and could go over tune no problem.

I drove to him, several hours away and met. He was ok dude I didnt want to judge by looks of place or shop. He got in car with laptop and we did some driving and adjusting. took about an hour.

then he told me he wanted me to come back later cause he was going to go over his tune he just did on my car. ok. told me when I came back he would dyno the car.

fast forward ..I came back and he wouldnt dyno it was too hot so he was going to dyno in the am. next am I get call , dyno or my car is funny and wont run right. said my "car being tilted maybe causing my tranny fluid to shift" ...I was like WTF ? I think your dyno is broke and take my car off and bring it to me.

so he did . i told him he owed me for the dyno pulls he never did. first he agreed but then after we separated he tried to claim a bunch of nonsense and didnt want to give me a refund for the dyno session he didnt do.

he ended up paying back the money on the app we had used and I left town.

now car is running fine for the most part. I cant really tell any difference but I have NOT got on it since the changes were made. guy was probably aware of what he was doing just totally unprofessional and he was scatterbrained , tried to steal money and not do what he was paid for. overall wasted money and 2 days travel. guy talked himself way above what the reality was. local tuners are hard terrible at communicating. lesson learned.

if someone could glance at this datalog id appreciate it. its about 15min drive to work from cold start to arrival.

I will need to download the adjusted tune to my laptop also and post it. I need to see how thats done.

A data log really won't tell you if a supercharged calibration is properly setup. Need to post the tune file.

Post the tune file. I would also do a full 3rd gear pull from 2k rpm to redline. But looking at the little data you provided your commanded AFR is pretty good. Timing seems good for boosted engine I am guessing on pump gas. Didnt see any detonation under load. Based off narrowbands AFR seems okay under load but you can only take those with a grain of salt. Need a wbo2 to know for sure since we cant tell if the MAF is dialed in.

You can read the file without any cost. It is only when modifying the redits are needed. Plug in interface, make sure Scanner is disconnected, open Editor, and click the green READ Vehicle button near help tab. Close the log file if there is anything open and the green READ file is greyed out.

It's pretty amateurish. I'd at least put a 2-bar sensor in it so you know how much boost it's making. You'll need to know that to determine how much timing you can run.

?Amaturish? lol. I dont know if id say that but i didnt have anything to do with setup. I didnt buy directly from owner either.

But im planning on getting wideband and boost gauge of some kind. No idea what but I understand i need more equipment .

At the moment just looking for actual eyes on the tune because the guy was very ?amateur?

Tune looks pretty standard to me. But I guess I am always going to be amateurish because I am always learning something new. I am not good with trans tunes at all since I only own manual cars so cant speak on that.

The tune looks pretty poor. I'd start over.

If you have a car modded past bolt ons and your tuner doesn't ask you to leave the car for a few days right off the bat you are likely not getting a great tune.

Tuning something like this would need a few hours of road tuning, time on the dyno.. at least a hour, a drive the next morning to make sure all the cold stuff is OK, and maybe a trip to make sure it restarts OK after getting gas... etc.

    So minimum 2 days.

    .

lol...well ... the tuner turned out to be what I call a hack so I am trying to get it good enough so its not a problem to drive. I dont expect it to be perfect just enough to buy some time to get a tuner local to get me in there. there is not many options where I live. lesson learned.

I would start over, def. not too much of a difference from stock. You can tell theres been some changes but minor changes to it. Find a stock c5 file and do alot of research about tuning. its not hard jst time consuming... dont be afraid to ask for help

except my c5 has a magnuson. I assumed it wont run right on stock factory tune. im going to have a local guy tune it soon as I can get on the schedule.

Most supercharged/ boosted applications start by applying the 2 bar or 3 bar operating system patch and write entire. And this came from a "tuner's shop"?
This will require an initial VE table set up.

    Sad.
    Good luck.

im on schedule to get it looked at by a real tuner in couple weeks

but from the reactions it appears I was had. I believe all that was done was the rip off guy just made some changes to the tune that was on it which wasnt much of a tune either.

the positive is that I now feel the car can run even better and it runs pretty good now although I feel its very conservative.
