    Vehicle Reader Invalid Checksum

I was trying to read a guys gen 3 LS P01 ecu last night and kept getting a error message at about 3% into reading the tune file. From what i have gathered it needs reflashed with the original tune file? That is something i dont have access to. Anyone had this problem before and solved it without restarting with a new ecu?

I just came across this under the Tools drop down menu then going into options . Was unchecked when was given the reading error messages. hoping to find a confirmed fix before going back to scan the guys car. Your help is appreciated
