    MPVI3 Stand alone data logging

Haven't started yet but wanted to verify. Using the start stop button can you generate several different log files. Meaning pushing button to start and then stop. several times, then remove MPVI3 from vehicle , connect to laptop to read logs and save.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I assume prior to stand alone, when you open a custom channel file while connected to MPVI3 that's what it will record when in stand alone?

I followed the instructions per the support section on website, After short press for start and stop, I get a log but the the file is empty and the log says Log0001 No Vin. when cabled with laptop everything is fine. I erased channel file, resynced. no help

Turns out stand alone data logging does not work with globalB

Stand alone will work normally on anything but Global B, Hence the empty log for all others set the triggers and log away, the MPVI3 has twice the storage of previous interfaces so it will hold more logs.
