Stop XP PRO From Logging Out !!!!!

This is probably something simple (I did try) for you PC guys ( me MAC )......

Windows XP logs out way too soon. Is this an adjustable time parameter or better yet can it be turned off completely??

On my MAC booting up requires no loggin (I have it set that way) and the computer will go to sleep but not require a log in.

This is bugging me ...... any help????

    Thanks

    Control Panel
Display properties(in category view its under Appearance and themes)
    Screen Saver Tab
uncheck the "on Resume Password Protect" box
then in the bottom area- POWER
change the options to any time length you want including NEVER

Ahh, the ol' screensaver is jumping in on you like Scott said.
Set the minimum time before screen saver activates to 30 minutes. If you're logging longer than that, the PC needs a break anyway... LOL

BTW: There's a shorter shortcut: right click on the desktop, then select properties. Then the Screen Saver tab. Adjust away...

You didn't know you were going to learn how to "Tune Your PC" did ya!

computer doesnt need a break...just dont muck it up with a bunch of crap that shouldnt be on there and keep it in shape with a little regular maintainence...

I've got a server PC that hasnt been reset in over 3 months now since we moved into our new house

I left out the right click on the desktop cause I didnt want to try to explain 2 methods and confuse a mac guy

Thanks for taking it easy on the dumb Mac Guy..........

Doug: I will try the Desktop shortcut first. After all we all know that Windows copied that from the MAC too (not to bring up that war again )
