    Surging 1.4 turbo Cruze

I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze with 1.4 turbo. I recently decided to bite the bullet and put a ZZ performance 3.1 big wheel turbo, 42lb fuel injectors, Complete ZZ exhaust system, timing chain, replaced cylinder head. I have paid ZZ performance (turbo Tim) for a tune for my car. He originally gave me a tune file that was OK but had some bugs. He then sent me another tune file and after I wrote it in the car runs like S---. Anyway he keeps blaming my car for low boost after 2nd and 3rd write ins and basically told me to pound dirt. I put his original file in and the car is drivable with over 22lbs of boost, but has a bad surge (like wastegate) under mid throttle. I have put my log file in, if someone could point me in the right direction would be appreciated. I have done a little bit of tune myself(not a master) in the past just not on this car. Thanks to all

Same boat here, I also got the ZZP 3.1 Turbo, full exhaust, cam, springs retainers, diamond pistons, ported intake, 42lb injectors. He has sent me probably 10 tunes and it doesn't run like I think it should. After ZZP warrantied the turbo that failed during his tuning. I gave up on having him tune it. I noticed this is an old post, did you get it running good?

Same boat here, zzp big turbo (with the upgraded spring they suggest), their green injectors, zzp tune by tim (wasn't a pleasant experience), the pcv mod. New gm valve cover.
Power has always been erratic and it has a severe surge....he re-tuned 3 total times and then just quit responding to emails like he was done with me (total time from start of tune to 3 emailed files was maybe 2 hours)
    Very disappointed for the price

29 year GM master tech, I got their tune because I assumed they would know what they're doing....

Same boat here. I have a v3, one of the first ones, aside from the bpv whistling, the turbo has always been surging too.

    2 things to try

    1. turbocharger base dc table too aggressive in medium load cells causing boost overshoot
    2. driver demand table has harsh transitions, needs smoothed out
