Whats going on with knock learn factor here?

Im seeing it steady falling towards 0 running part throttle through the gears and not a single bit of knock retard shown in any cylinder, so its not making sense to me

Gen 3 vs 4+ works differently.

on GEN 4 and 5 "0" means 100% high octane table. Sounds like you are learning back to the high octane table which is good.

    Gen 3 is 1 = high octane 0 = low.

It was very late and I've been very busy. I thought you were talking about where it was showing knock, not to which way it was learning. I should have read it better... Sorry about that Otherwise for the knock, try adjusting the soi and go from there although it was minimal.

Same here... I forgot that i was in a 5th gen and not other. Give me a 50/50 option Ill always mix it up, give me multiple choice with 4 and I get it right LOL always been like that. Still doesnt make alot of sense, look at log 12 right before the WOT run its falling towards 0 then steps back up towards 1.0 a couple times with no shown knock

yes i did try moving SOI around under WOT and stock stuff did as good as any with it

Normally with stock or slightly modified, I have to increase that particular area about 10 degrees and smooth out the neighboring areas. Won't get rid of all of it, but it'll kill about 3 to 4 degrees especially right there where the big dip is. Then having the VE and MAF agreeing with one another seems to help a lot as well.

Now for your issue, I have also on some very rare ones had to increase the learn threshold "settings" to get them to go back toward the high octane table. Otherwise it can take a week for them to completely shift back. It's basically seen knock at some point in that area before or at some point decently for one or another reasons and quickly learned toward the low table and is currently "learning cautiously" back to the high octane table under full power. I've got a couple of guys that like to race, so they want it to stay more towards the high table and only go to the low if really needed such as a bad tank of gas. Hard to do with the settings, but you can adjust the thresholds to where it may learn back with good gas in an hour or so of driving. Should be 3 tables total. Haven't had an engine issue yet, but also rarely do this so there's that. If you go that route, use A LOT of caution and make sure the owner is good with it. That's entirely up to you. Just for reference I normally leave them all stock then let it go through the normal shifts, but flashing or writing entire won't reset that learned parameter.

The reason why it was returning to low octane mode is because you have this code.

    P0330 - Knock Sensor 2 Circuit (Bank 2) (Current)

Skip SOI and diagnose that code

Yep, code wasn't in the other 2 logs. I should have looked at all 3
