    1997 454 0411/24x conversion

I started with a new project with no engine at all. Grabbed a low mileage vortec 454 from my brother and re-sealed it, machined heads, ZZ502 cam, all new valvetrain to match the cam, 44lb injectors from Five0Motorsports, contacted LEXTECH for the 0411 info, per his wiring I did the full 0411 swap, plus the engine was assembled with the 24x dual pattern reluctor wheel, and I grabbed some coil wiring from a junk ls harness I had and pinned everything accordingly. I purchased all of my HP Tuners hardware before the truck was ever ran, Jeff flashed the 0411 for me to atleast get the truck started. I have longtube headers on the truck with dual 3" exhaust right now.

I finally searched for days and grabbed a few tunes I could fine to go over the tune I had on the truck and do some comparing because we are running with a ls truck tune. The truck will currently fire up and idle, even have all of my ac working now, I have driven it around the block and made one log so far. I have my AEM wideband in the truck right now but im still hassling with getting the prolink to get the data into my logs because this is all new to me. I have never sat down and tuned any OBDII stuff so this is my own new adventure learning this and playing with my new to me truck. I will upload my current tune and 1 log file so far. My biggest issue before I start dialing in my MAF tuning is, judging by the narrowbands, I have bank 2 running super fat and bank 1 with the wideband is idling right around 13.5-14.1. I read another thread that was like 3 years old about another 0411 swap with the banks running unbalanced and that is killing me, along with any throttle tip in, it jumps SUPER lean. My main concern before I work on the tune one step at a time is help figuring out why bank 1 and 2 are running imbalanced, and trying to figure out why any throttle jumps SUPER lean and it will not drop into gear without peddling it the slightest bit.

Thanks in advance, I figured after spending the last few weeks searching the forums and combing over the tune again and again I would try to jump on here and finally ask for advice.

On a final note, I turned off the LT & ST fuel trims because with the banks running so far off, it was going all the way up to about 25% on bank2 for the long term and would just about kill the truck idling.LEXTECH 24x CNP idle1 closedloop only.hptMAF only test drive.hpl

Are you running narrow band one side and wideband the other? If so, I would put in both narrowbands and compare.

Actually no both narrowbands are still in place and running, I have my wideband in its own bung on the driver side. This is also the only "injector data" that was sent with my injectors from FiveoMotorsports, and also a little shot from the ridiculous 1 time clean engine bay with the factory L21 valve covers and coil mounts20240429_132426.jpg20240403_192606.jpg

Bank 2 O2 is dead, disconnected, etc. Fix the O2 the trims will fall in line.

I was having a hard time determining that because the voltage was fluctuating just like narrowbands do but the bank 2 was obviously way off. With any of the GENIII or GM platform period, bank 2 is designated as the passenger side correct?

This is a swap that you did the wiring on? Which side did you connect it too?

This swap I followed all of the LEXTECH pinouts and 24x wiring. The truck fires right up, no codes, and i still need to work on the injector data I believe. But my #1 issue was having the fuel imbalance fixed. The bad o2 sensor makes perfect sense so a brand new Bosch unit will be stuck in there tomorrow. Im running the OEM distributor just as the cam sensor with the 24x dual pattern reluctor and repinned connector with 8.1 crank sensor. It idles decent. Just dumping fuel somewhere it shouldn't

If you don't know which side you wired it to, disconnect one and see if the one that responds in the log stops working.

No Bosch O2 sensors on GM vehicles, please. This little tip will save you many hours of cursing and throwing things. This is not a VW.

Genuine GM/ACDelco or NTK or Denso (the GM/Delco will be either NTK or Denso in a blue GM box, they are the OE suppliers). If you buy a GM/Delco/NTK/Denso sensor from Amazon it has about a 90% chance of still being an offshore fake.

I will consider this then. I snagged one just for testing purposes because this isnt my daily driver. if I figure out the dead sensor, ill replace both of them with genuine acdelco because I have no idea the age or condition of them when I got this truck running.
