2018 Silverado 1500 Towering Module?

(Wow, botched the title.)

Good morning. I'm trying to help my father add factory trailer brake controller and other functionality to his 2018 Silverado 1500, which was not originally ordered with it. I believe the last part he needs to purchase is the trailer brake power control module, but they need to be programmed to the vehicle. Before I buy credits for his truck, is the towing functionality something VCM can modify? Thank you.

I just noticed 2018 will also require an upgraded PCM to do anything, so that puts a bit more pressure on knowing if I can/cannot work on the TBC power module.

Would be neat for them to add in some bcm tuning. Grade braking adjustment or at least a on/off switch for one. Being able to disable 4x4 on the gen 4 up inside the ecm for swaps. Didnt efi live allow IPC programming at one point(custom dic)?
