I have the MPV1 and saw there is an offer to upgrade it to the latest MPP3 for $400 that includes 8 credits. There's also a $250 cost to unlock the PCM (total of $650). Another option is to buy the MPV3 + 6 credits ($700 total) and there's a complimentary Dodge upgrade. All I plan to do on this 2015 Dodge is delete MDS (2 credits), so the other credits are not needed. I learned I can't resell them, so is there a lower cost option here?
Currently (2020) swapping an LM4 5.3 and an older 4L80 into a Dodge Durango. My prior projects include Chevy Gen 1 V8 into an FB RX-7, Gen 3 V8s into an FC RX-7, a MK3 Supra, a BMW E34, and an LT1 into a 280Z. Still have the Datsun, a 383 LT4 Trans Am, and some bikes.
Id recommend you dont upgrade the interface. Take advantage of the free ecu upgrade.
