Thread: Delayed FA Enrichment = Misfires?

  1. #21
Maybe it was a trick question ... Because I adjusted the Control Goal Voltages, or because Dodge seems to use different voltage range for O2's?

My Goal Voltage Limits are now set to very similar values a Hellcat uses.

    • My Stock Values: 0.100 - 4.900
    • My Current Values: 1.505 - 3.505
    • 2021 Durango Hellcat Values: 1.510 - 3.294

My O2 voltages seem to swing between 2.5v and 3.4v though, so if they started reading 1.0v, I would be running extremely lean. I thought this was just something unique to the way Dodge has implemented O2 sensors though, and the question above was using more normal voltages of 0.1 and 1.0 in reference the the 1v range sensors swing through when in operation.

I'm not really sure what the "Control Goal Voltage" is though. I see the channel in Scanner, registering values between 25v - 50v ... Not sure what it represents

In any case, I am grateful for the input and help you guys have provided thus far, thanks!

I'm glad you bring your observed voltage ranges up, because it answers a question regarding GPEC controllers that I wasn't certain of, and I was literally debating on whether to bother mentioning this little nuance or not. Now, it seems appropriate to address it.

NGC controllers use a 2.5v pull-up offset in the O2 circuit. So, technically speaking, the narrowband O2 sensors do still operate in a 1.0v range, but their minimum voltage would be 2.5v, and their maximum voltage would be 3.5v. It seems the GPEC controllers operate the same way.

I wouldn't put too much stock into trying to match voltage settings from a Hellcat calibration, as those use wideband control (0-5 volt range).

I took a JTEC that was trimmed out <5% and drained the gas tank. Filled it with e90. Took a tank but LTFT ended up at positive 30%. ST are less than 5 again. Slow controller, you can watch the ST trim and the 02 sensor voltage and it’s obvious that .1 is lean, 1v is fat, cuz you can watch it compensate.

Can you watch that with a GPEC2A?

I took a GPEC2A that was trimmed out <10%. Drained the tank. Filled it with e90. O2 sensors were maxed at .990v (and stayed there) ST trims went to pegged -33.6
