    MPVI2 and EECV-216K

I would like to know if anyone has had any success with reading, editing and flashing a tune on an EECV 216K vehicle using an MVPI2 non plus. I would especially like to know what hardware and firmware version is reported for your adapter when you generate an infolog, in addition to if you are successful in reading and writing a tune or not.

    My adapter is
    HardwareVersion: 1.4.0
    FirmwareVersion: 5.1.24
And I am able to read the vehicle and generate a file, but cannot open and edit it.

    yes, this one: Capture (1).PNG
i already put in a ticket for support for my vehicle because of this, but one of the things the guy said is basically the mpvi2 is spotty with eecv support and i would have to update to a 3 for full support. this is the polar opposite of what the vehicle compatibility list and the forums say (a 2 or 2+ is required and 3 is unsupported/in beta), and getting an error saying vcm is failing to download definitions doesnt exactly seem like an issue with the adapter to me. however i still wanted to ask and see what the deal is with everyone else, in case i happen to be wrong.

    what is the ticket number?

VCM Scanner works better on EECV with MPVI3, so that part of it is correct.

that might have been what he was referring to, but that's not what I was asking for and isn't really relevant in the context of the conversation.

I've been successfully able to read/edit/write a handful or so 99-04 mustangs with 2 different MPVI2 (both non+). One was a friends, so not sure on the hardware/firmware versions on his, but for my MPVI2, the hardware and firmware versions are the same as you've posted. That said, I use an old SCT X3 to log as logging EECV with MPVI2 and scanner has proven to be mostly useless for me, at least til I can convince myself it's worth upgrading to the MPVI3

Its a new definition, currently in our ford engineers work in queue. Unfortunately we do not provide eta's or guarantees of support for new EECV applications such as this.

much appreciated, but unfortunately I'm still having the same exact issue, even with a new tune file pulled with the latest beta. ill reply to the support ticket in a bit with the file and a new log.
