Newbie need help to validate and figure out my errors

hey folks.

I have a couple of issues, new to swap and new to tuning. I have the following
E92A ecm 12683365
TCM T43 tcm 24276638

Do these need to match or how do I determine if they are compatible?
I have them running and trans is shifting horribly it reads 158MPH in park.
when we connect to GM TIS it gives the following error E3499


can someone educate me on what is needed? I went to the dealer and they said they couldn't get to flash. they are the ones that saw the error code E3499. they called me to the bay and I saw that they didn't have a battery maintainer on it so they put it on but didn't reset or let sleep before retrying.

just lost on this whole stuff. appreciate any help. I'm new as stated so sorry for any and all dumb things I have said above

I have done the same, the tcm and ecm needs to be the same year, are they from the same car? What is the year on the engine and trans? Engine you can look at the fuel pressure sensor

ECM and TCM need to be from the same vehicle. ECM cannot be flashed out of the vehicle it's supposed to be in. You'll need to find a "donor" vehicle you can put both in and flash with SPS.

i have been able to flash the TCM and ECU with bench harness no problem, and as long as the TCM is the right year and have a OS (2010ish and before or 2011 and forward) the make matters nothing as you can just reflash it for the right vehicle (just note it requires the ECU to be licensed).

thanks for the replies. This is a swap vehicle. the engine is a LT 5.3 out of a 2019 Silverado and the trans is out of a 2014 Denali 6speed auto 4x4. My understanding is that the TCM needs to have the same VIN so they can work together. looking up that model ECM it supports that engine and trans combo 2014-2018. the ECM is out of a 2018 Silverado E92a. I'm just having issues with loss of communication and all of what I read states it needs to be paired first.

what OSes are needed in order to get this running? who can do this? and what are the ways to get this accomplished?

"just" find a OS with a 2018 L83 and a 6L80, and download that to it, the VIN do not matter but you can't download TCM without licensing the file sadly, unless you get a file with only TCM. I can supply mine if you want? I have same setup, 2018 L83 and 6L80.
