    2018 Can Am X3 XRC - 1st time tuner

I've been running an out of the box tune from EVO performance for a couple years and have never been happy with it, so I've decided to take a run at building my 1st tune. I've been an HP Tuners user for quite a few years and have worked with remote tuners to tune multiple GM cars, so I'm very familiar with tables, minor tweaks, and datalogging, but I've never built a tune from scratch with VE tables.

I've read the ECU and was hoping it would pull the EVO tune as a baseline, but I now understand HP tuners simply sends you a stock tune as a baseline.

Any direction is greatly appreciated; I've done quite a bit of research, but nothing nothing I've learned leaves me confident enough to start.

Again, all input and direction is greatly appreciated - thank you.

Depending on what ecu it got, I could pull the file from evo with my bench reader

    Hi Ruthless,

That's an interesting option for a good baseline. The ECU model number is PV3-2501C. Your help is appreciated.

you would have to send him your ECU for him to read the file.

I'd be happy to send @RUTHLESS my ECU and pay him to extract the tune for me to use as a baseline.

My suggestion would be to just build your own tune if you are as familiar with "tables, minor tweaks, and datalogging" as you say you are. Sending the ECU to ruthless to read and give you the file is shady on both parts. It is sad to see as a business/tuner he would be willing to help hand over another companies hard work.

I am building my own tune and enjoying the learning along the way. My desire to have the EVO tune is simply for a sanity check.
