    2023 2.7L turbomax tuning

I wanted to start a thread just related to the new turbomax engines in the Colorados, Sierras, Silverado's, and Caddy's. I have been doing a lot of research and digging on the platform. These do have a DOD and some interesting things going on.

Anyone wanting to share can post here. As soon as I take more logs and have better ideas of what is going on. I will start to update this thread. These inline 4cylinder turbo engines have a lot of potential. I think aftermarket turbo options are right around the corner.

Any indication how stout the bottoms are on those motors to handle some extra boost?

The engines are stout.... Especially the newer versions. IE the Turbomax. It has a completely forged bottom end with very stout bearings in it from the factory. I would imagine this thing can easily handle double the torque output from factory. Only time will tell.

I've been trying to find an L3B stock or stockish file to look over. I have a 24 Canyon and while these are tuned to run on 87 octane, a part of me wants to think GM is still using something like a timing retardation table or a method of testing how much timing it can throw at the fuel before it knocks. Been reading on some of the Colorado/Canyon forums that using higher octane would make no difference.

Then there's that other part of me that keeps on saying, you've tuned older GM's based on octane and upped timing tables etc. Why wouldn't GM use something similar in the latest programming to handle octane changes and adjust accordingly?

Any info would be great, a file would be stupendous. I haven't traded in my MPVI Pro from around 2008-2010ish. Thinking it's time to do it and see what this truck has after getting things unlocked.

I have PM'd you. How do you like the architecture for the ECM? It is pretty straight forward.

Is there a reference guide for active PIDs for the LB3? Not many PIDs carried over from my older VCM Scanner configs.
