Ecoboost Mustang Tune File - Custom vs OEM

I'm reviewing my existing tune file and comparing it to my OEM tune file. (E2561 - Oil Pressure Config: is set to "Transducer", instead of the OEM setting of "Switch"... any input, as to why, will be appreciated!

Still reviewing a custom tune, as a learning tool, to help me understand what and why I should make changes to the stock OEM file.
I found this statement online and it gives me a little insight, "While a basic oil pressure switch only provides a simple on/off signal when pressure is low, a transducer switch provides a continuous reading of pressure levels, allowing for more detailed monitoring."
However, I looked at a log, and the oil pressure gauge is blank, but the "oil pressure low" channel says "NO".
Still confused, but at least I know something I didn't know yesterday!

Not entirely sure what needs to be changed when switching from a oil pressure switch to the transducer (software wise), I was under the impression that the oil pressure config was it.
The hardware side of things are different, the output of the transducer connects to a different pin on the ECU, so just switching to transducer isn't going to just magically give you an oil pressure readout.

Don't know why your custom tune would have had it set to transducer if your original was low pressure switch.

Thank you for the valuable information, it helps me understand how and what to change, as well as what to leave alone.

Something to add, the guy who developed this tune file, owns a 2016 Ecoboost Mustang Performance Pack, and my Mustang is a 2018 "Base Model".

If I recall correctly, performance pack does usually have the oil pressure gauge instead of the switch, maybe they just copied everything from a template tune and didn't double check hardware differences... That would be my guess anyway.

The next group of changes, take place on the Idle/RPM page.
