    4.3 to 5.3L83

so i have completed the swap and all wiring necessary also changed over and can communicate with vehicle. Truck started out as a 2015 silverado with a 4.3. I have swapped in a DOD deleted 5.3 from a 2016 with harness and ecm and matching transmission. Do i need to first match the VIN of the ecm and tcm to the truck, or just delete vats and fire it up?

I was going to say, if the engine, transmission, wiring and pcm are all from the same truck, it should work. So that's good that it does.

Making the L86 throttle body work, is not an easy task because many many tables won't be there to edit and pretty sure requires user defined parameters to get it working. There are a few threads on this topic floating around.

Also my question is, since the VIN doesnt match the ecm and TCM that are now in the truck, can i simply do the VIN change wizard and they will all match?

If it's not required for emissions, leave it alone.

Yes that's the issue, unfortunately truck is still in one of the few emissions counties. Or I still have the original ECM that was in the truck with the V6. Can I just flash a 5.3 tune on that one? Same year truck just was a v6.

Not with HP Tuners you can't. It will not do the full flash with all segments.
