MPVI2 INTERFACE NOT FOUND FIX FOR ARM64 Computers

Hey guys, I am writing this to help anyone who may have the issue that their MPVI2 is not connecting to their laptop. I spent 6 hours with a new laptop trying to connect the interface and found a solution. HP Tuners does not have support for ARM64 computers but I found a workaround to help others that want to pull their hair out. This fix is ONLY for ARM64 systems.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE A ARM64 SYSTEM
    1. Go to Settings on your computer
    2. Click System
    3. Click About at the very bottom
    4. Under Device Specifications and System Type you will see ARM64, if so this guide is for you

    Download FTDI ARM64 Drivers
    1. Go to this link https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/
    2. Go to the section that is labeled Processor Architecture
    3. Download the file under Windows (Desktop) and ARM
    4. When the download is complete, right click and select extract all
    5. Open file explorer and follow this path, This Pc>Local Disk
    6. Copy the file you just extracted to this location.
    7. Open up Device Manager and find the MPVI2, most of the time is named FT230X Basic Uart, if not it will most likely have a yellow triangle over it with a name of USB Serial Port.
    8. Follow this intructions to install the driver. Right Click>Update Driver>Browse My Computer>Browse>Go to the folder that we copied in Local Disk and Click OK then Next
    9. Now that your drivers are installed, you have to move 2 files that are in the file we extracted, They are under the x86 folder. Copy and paste them in the VCM Suite folder which is Local Disk>Program Files (x86)>Hp Tuners>Vcm Suite

After that your MPVI2 should be working fine, feel free to ask any questions.

Yeah new Windows 11 laptops sometimes have ARM64 system types which don't work with the given hp tuners drivers.

Did you get the stable and beta version of the VCM suite to run? I can get the stable version, but not the beta version.

I finally got around to testing this whole process. I tried installing these drivers above before testing and it said I had the latest driver installed. The stable release of HPTuners worked without an issue. I didn't even need these drivers.
