Start dialing in my Datsun LSA

    Hello gents,
I must ask, can i start dialing in my Datsun LSA swap when on stands?
I have an idea of getting familiar with the Editor in a slow way and start with the idle and no load conditions and as i said, to get comfortable with the program.
Or.....should i just drop it and wait until i have my propshaft and halfshafts(and the snow is gone )
the engine is slightly modified with:

    Smaller pulley on the SC
    LS9 camshaft
Lingenfelter has done "something" to the heads
    180 degree headders
FPCM is used (Carter LP pump and Lingenfelter HP pump)
    Has cats and rear O2
Just now i have no brick in the SC but i think i should not see high temp when there is no load or?

Tune attached and a log from cold to operating temp with some various rpm.

    Please be nice

    Thanks

Sorry i can't answer that. But I wanted to drop by and say that you have a very unique and cool project there!! Several years ago I was building a Datsun 610 with a sr20det for a rich guys punk grandson. (Frame off restoration) . The grandson lost interest and stole most of the goodies that came with the swap for a 240sx. It was a real shame. I dont remember all the details but the motor came with a very very nice custom ecu, upgraded cams, a nice ball bearing turbo. I had a open limitless checkbook but the grandson was just spoiled.

You are not going to get a whole lot done on jack stands.

IAT's will stay OK until you make boost without a brick. I sell laser cut re-enforcement plates for the bricks BTW. You should do them or something like that while it's out.

One of our guys has a Datsun with a radical 5.3 NA setup. The car is scary on the road. This is going to be nuts with a blower too.

I say go for it. I think it will be a great time for you to learn your way around the software. I would only work on cold start, cold warm up, operating temp. idle, and warm start up. Looks like the fuel trims are off during idle right now. You deff. could dial that in on the stands for a learning lesson. Don't be surprised if you have to come back to it once you have it running/driving as driving it will put the engine in a different state than just letting it sit and idle as far as the tune is concerned.

    Thanks for the answers

Alvin: I read in another post that you have these reinforcement parts so i have it on my mind, unfortunally i don't even have a stock brick, just an oversized one with a spacer and then i cant close the hood
I actually have thinking about to remove the SC as i will probably have enough power anyway.

abc: I'll do some more reading about your suggestions, sometimes it feels like there is more than one way to reach the top so picking the right one is the trick i suppose.

    Thanks

An LSA in that car will be a useless exhibition of tire destroying torque. Put some sticky tires on it and you'll break all kinds of stuff LOL

Yes i know but i had the engine and like the Datsun so well....
i will probably get a LS3 intake and be happy with that i think.
The thing is that to get this thru registration i have to do it in two steps, first with around 400 hp and no blower then another registration with blower but i think i will be more then happy with 400hp.
