    Help 2007 MUSTANG GT Turbo

Hey! New to hptuners and the forums! I have a 2007 mustang gt 4.6 3v. The bottom end is built up with manely rotating assembly (pistons rods and 8 bolt forged crankshaft) headwork done it (upgraded springs retainers and valves) it has a set of comp cams Thumpr NSR 127020 with cam phaser lockouts. It has a garret gtx3582r strapped to it. Intake is ford racing with 47lb ford racing injectors and a walbro 400lph fuel pump. Stock maf with DiabloSport F7370 MAFia. it was previously tuned on a stock engine at 8 psi. and ran good but ive been having a hard time trying to get my idle dialed in. I was hoping some of yall can give me some pointers on my setup so far or what you think needs changing! thank you in advanced
The idle seems okay but when vss is over 1 mph the car goes super rich and dies

Yeah? They’re awesome when boosted! This can setup is pretty aggressive, any idea how I could clean it up as far as tuning adjustments go?

That is probably a torque table and load with failed maf problem. Read this thread and see if it helps you out (make sure you read murfie's comments before you start tuning): https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...mp-WOT-Surging

I read through went you sent. had a noob question how do i go about setting up my histogram to tune my maf v?
I did parameter: EQ Ratio Error
    Column axis: Mass Airflow volts
    and then added my values
Is that correct way of doing that or should i change it?

I think the better way to do it is to use the following:
    Parameter: LTFT+STFT (math)
    unit: percent
    cell hits required: 100
You can add shading if you like, this helps you know if it is rich or lean at a glance while doing your logs

    Column axis: None

Row axis: Mass airflow Volts (sensor)
    Unit: Volt (v)
Values: go into your tune, click the airflow vs voltage button, right click on the numbers > row axis > copy labels. Paste them into your values.

When you are ready to use your log to make a correction copy the entire column of numbers, go into your tune, click paste special, multiply by percent. You are shooting for errors of less than 5%, so always keep that graph running, and adjust your tune if you see it swing. It is better to log this on a car that is already at operating temp. The results can be skewed when cold.

You can fine tune the numbers by turning off LTFT enable in the tune after you get them close. (CTRL+N takes you to the parameter navigator). I wouldn't bother with it until you get your LWFM and torque tables a little closer. I wouldn't edit the first 4 rows of LWFM from stock to start, it can make the car drive weird. Same thing with 0.1-0.5 on the torque tables, just set it up to go to whatever value you think you need to for a max air load and scale it out from the stock 100% value. Eventually you will figure out what you need to dial those in better.

Re-read that linked thread often as you learn, robcat's posts on the blow through throttle body problem directly apply to you, and I think it will make more sense as you go.

Make sure your timing is safe while you are doing this, run E85 if you can get it. You will have to test the ethanol content and adjust your Stoich AFR to match, but it will provide extra safety.

Thats exactly what i couldnt figure out! Thank You a lot. I set up my histogram and made a few change to my IVO to account for the new cam. i havent had a chance to run the car yet. I keep getting home late from work but this weekend ill load it up and data log
