DSP2 OR DSP5 Flashing Via HPT

So just finished up a DSP5 & 6 speed conversion for a customer in PA after he accidently bought a 2006-2007 Allison 1000. He was worried he would have to get another transmission once he found out the unit he bought to replace his original was for a LBZ. That was until he contacted me and I helped him do the changes necessary to get the transmission functioning behind his LLY while retaining the extra gear. While I was doing the transmission he decided to sed me his ECM as well due to he wasn't happy with the current DSP5 another calibrator did he said the fuel milage was just horrible at around 13 mpg and even less pulling his camper. I set him up with a Stock, 40-60, 100, a 150, and a 200 + (not to be ran hard with out a built Allison). It should put his milage around 20 to 22 mpg unloaded and around 15-18 pulling which will make the truck more enjoyable to drive.

After I did all my calibration work VIA EFI LIVE I figured while I had it on the bench why not read the DSP5 out with HPT for guys who don't have access to a Auto Cal or Flash scan and it read no problem it just didn't know what ECM the calibration was for but did know the manufacture was GM. I do wish HPT would map the DSP5 but I do understand why they don't EFI LIVE created it annd they don't want to step on toes so the next best thing is to get people like me using both platforms to be able to send HPT Duramax guys DSP5 calibrations without them switching platforms.

The LLY was made MY 04.5-05 via E60 ecu and early 06 MY on the LBZ platform via E35a ecu. I could see an E60 possible to hpt read and reuse. I have not done it. I do not believe it is possible on 06-10 MY due to the way the DSP files are made. You can not read an 06-10 MY DSP file with efilive properly, so I doubt HP can assemble it to reuse.
